Fun December!

December is a fun month for Rachael because daddy and mummy are mostly home with her. And this fun month is going to end very soon. Daddy and mummy are going to start work again in a few hours time.

Before that happened, I'm gonna continue with what happened in December so far...

14 Dec
Hubby went to work and Rachael was with me alone. I brought her down to the playground to play with bubbles. However, not long after, it started to drizzle.

I wanted to bring her to the slide but she seemed happy playing in the train.

15 Dec
We went to Gardens By the Bay again. Unfortunately, the Flower Dome was closed for maintenance. We could only visit the Cloud Forest.

After visiting the Flower Dome, we walked to Satay by the Bay to have our early dinner while Rachael slept in her pram. Last minute, my mum said Robinsons having members sales that day and we decided to go get something for her over there. And we got her a Hotel Collection pillow. She said for all her life, she had never used an expensive pillow and now she knows how comfortable it is to sleep on an expensive one!

As for our dearest daughter, her daddy got her another box of duplo Lego set. And she had fun playing at the atrium.

She looks like a real professional pianist here!!

17 Dec
We went to have lunch with hubby's friends at MK restaurant. It's really not worth going and is the worst steamboat I ever had. Nevertheless, it's never about the food but the company.

Our first time at West Gate but we didn't have much time to walk around. We went to JEM Robinsons to get two more pillows for my brother and SIL.

Playground again before we head home. Rachael was admiring the beautiful moon.

After washing up, she helped to put up the ornaments to our Christmas tree.

And she was in the mood of Christmas as well and started singing Christmas songs.

18 Dec
Her daddy went to work again and left both of us at home. We did many activities that day!

Putting the toys through the slit in the container.

Playing with this toy...

Reading the Lego booklet...

And sorting these small little beads into colors.

19 Dec
Preparing to go to church. She was singing Jingle Bells again.

I could only capture her playing this in church. Also took a video of her singing and dancing the 5 Little Monkeys song.

She last through art & craft that day and was hungry. I took her out for some biscuits. When we came back, she actually listened attentively to the Bible story and had some biscuits. Good improvement!!

After service, we had some desserts with Eunice and Jane. Then we went off for dinner separately.

Rachael wasn't interested in the shot, so we took it ourselves instead!

21 Dec

Goh Family dinner at our house. We had steamboat that day. The mala pot smell still lingers in our house till today...

What's a family dinner without a family shot?

22 Dec
We stayed home that day. And I cooked the leftover prawns. Nice spicy and sour paste from New Moon.

Rachael did some art & craft again. Stamping with the lady's finger that we cooked for lunch!

Hand and finger painting.

Can you see how happy she was? I think she really loves art. Maybe the next round will be foot prints.

23 Dec
We had an early Christmas gathering with our closer friends. Deb was not in picture but she rushed down from work and paid $33 for cab fare!! Thank you for making the time and effort down to join us.

24 Dec
Yeoh's Family dinner at Patrick & Charlene's house. It was a sumptuous spread as usual.

We took another family picture. Top was taken in 2014 and bottom was taken that day. Can you spot the difference? I suggested taking photos in the same position every year and see how we change and grow over the years.

25 Dec

It's Christmas Day! We went to mum's house for lunch and before that, Rachael was busy opening her presents.

26 Dec
Another day to stay home and rest. Hubby finally found the time to pack the study room while both Rachael and I fell asleep on the sofa.

After some rearrangement of the furniture in the study room, there's space for the drum set and Rachael had fun playing with daddy's toy!

Before she went to bed, she said she wanted to hug Santa. What a sweet girl!

27 Dec
CG Christmas celebration! We had fun and lots of food!

Rachael couldn't wait and opened a gift in the car!!!

After a while, she was so tired that she fell asleep in daddy's arm while we were walking back home from the carpark.

And so we ended this post here. Time to pack my bag for tomorrow's work. Oh, it's already tomorrow.

Holidays finally!!

6 Dec
My cousin's baby girl is finally one month old!! Baby Wen Shan has a lot of hair too!

The girls had fun at the poolside before the heavy downpour!

Then we sent them back, rested at mum's place before heading to airport T3 for dinner.

"Ahhhhh! I'm 10kg already??!!"

"Hehehe! 9.8kg only."

She seemed to be in a good mood that day. Look at how sweet her smile was!

7 Dec
We spent the entire day clearing the things inside our boxes and packing up the living room and storeroom. (Now it's messy again...)

8 Dec
We went to The Verge to get our Christmas deco stuff. Spent about 4-5 hours there comparing and looking around the different shops. Bought A LOT of stuff. Can't wait to put them up our Christmas tree!

Then we went to Katong to have Katong Laksa and since it was still early, we went to i12 to visit the toilet as well as to walk around. And I got my eye on the very big Santa Claus! It's now sitting in Rachael's car!

9 Dec
We went to IKEA to look for ideas as well as to get some things for our house. Bought a frame to frame up Rachael's first art piece!

Then we went to Frienzie Bar & Bistro for dinner.

Rachael was obviously in a good mood because she finished up her kid's meal of chicken sticks and smiled when the waiter took a picture for us.

The food there was not bad and much cheaper compared to the restaurant directly opposite. I had two pints of Erdinger beer because it was happy hour 1 for 1 and hubby did not like the beer.

We ended of the day by letting our pretty girl play at the playground.

10 Dec
I brought Rachael to Cool De Sac for the first time. It was not as big as I expected it to be. Nevertheless, Rachael still had fun.

Early in the morning, hubby sent us to mum's house and he left for work. Rachael probably knew that I would be bringing her out for fun, she refused to eat her lunch. So we took the bus to Aljunied Mrt station and continued the journey to City Hall by train.

At Citylink, there were lots of pretty decorations and displays.

It's so difficult to get her to look at the camera and smile.

In Cool De Sac, I only managed to capture two photos of her...

After playing for 1 hour plus, she wanted to get out. So I brought her out to have llao llao. She only had a few mouthfuls, then I brought her to Popular Fest. She was totally not interested and wanted to get back to play. Thank God we could re-enter to play again.

In the evening, hubby and I brought mum to Gardens By The Bay! It's her first time visiting. As it was already very late, we couldn't see the plants in the Cloud Forest clearly.

Flower Dome was beautiful with lights and deco for Christmas though. This is the best picture I had taken that night.

The decorations and lights did not interest Rachael at all.

She only smiled when she saw this...

And she sat on the carousel for the first time! She insisted that she wanted to play... When she got on it, she started to back out. Halfway through the ride, she cried. My oh my! Why were we not surprised? Hubby was embarrassed by her though.

We actually met Jane, Serene, Jesslin and Kyler in the midst of the crowd!

11 Dec
Hubby went to work. Rachael stayed home with me. She saw her art piece and insisted that she wants to do another one. So here we go! Then I realized the inexperienced me had gotten the wrong type of paint for her. This acrylic paint dries fast. Before she was done with her first stroke, the paint had dried up. Lol!

I also assumed that the paint is non toxic to be used on her hands...

Anyway, she had fun and I need to get new paint for her.

After art, we did some hands on activity. See how focused she was. I love to let her play with such "toys"...

I videoed her recognizing all the different colors! Our girl is growing up smart and fast!

12 Dec
We went to nearby neighborhood for lunch. There's this shop selling Christmas stuff and we went in to take a look. Outside the shop, there's this horse ride and she insisted on riding it. As usual, after putting in money and the horse started moving, she cried... Sigh!!! Glad that I captured a smiley face before the crying one.

50 cents only... With no music. No loss to me. Hahahaha!
